I Will Not Go Quietly Into the Night
Some people think they can say anything they like about other people online and to the media, regardless of whether what they say has any basis in reality and regardless of the overwhelmingly negative effect it can (and does) have on other people’s lives. Some people even think that because they’re an “anonymous” online poster, an attorney, or a “reporter”/”journalist” they’re immune to being held accountable for the malicious, defamatory, slanderous, and libelous things they say and write about others. But I’m here to tell you that the law is the law, and I don’t care who or what you THINK you are—you are not immune, and if you mess with the bull, you get the horns.
While “normal” people may try to just brush off the things you say about them and move on with their lives, irrespective of the damage you’ve inflicted upon them and the repugnant immorality of your behavior, I am NOT a “normal” person and will do no such thing.
I will not “go quietly into the night”—or the day, for that matter—while you assassinate my character, destroy my good name, and have me tried in the “court of public opinion” for crimes I have never been charged with, let alone convicted of. I will fight you as no one has ever fought you before and with God as my witness, I will prevail. You WILL face justice, you WILL feel the full weight of your own transgressions brought down upon your head, and—mark my words—you WILL repent, either in this life or the next.
YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE, and you think I don’t see you, but believe me, I see you. And soon enough, so will the world, and not for who you THINK you are, but for who you TRULY are and who God knows you to be in that empty, hollow shell inside of you that you call your heart.
